On August 24, 2015, Zelalem was loaned to Rangers from Arsenal until January. The-18-year old prolific midfielder impressed club officials with his stunning performances.
As per the latest reports, Rangers have agreed on a deal with Barclays Premier League giants Arsenal to extend the loan spell for Zelalem.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton has confirmed that the talented midfielder will remain at the Ibrox stadium.
“Gedion is with us,” Warburton confirmed.
“We talked to them as part of an on-going process. It’s about us creating an environment here where clubs of that stature trust us with their players”.
“That’s important medically, nutritionally, training wise, (in terms of) game-time, experience and that their players will go back to their clubs better individuals on and off the pitch.”
Rangers have the best squad in the Scottish Championship and are favourites to get automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season.
The club are close to complete another deal. The-27-year old Poland international goalkeeper confirmed Rangers move.
Maciec Gotstomski said: “I’m delighted to be here.”
“I had options but this is a great opportunity and with my experience I think I can bring something to Rangers.
“They are a huge club with a great history and I want to be part of that. I know there are good goalkeepers here already but I want to play and fight for a place in the team.”
