Rangers are planning to return to Scottish top-flight for next season as they are currently sitting in the first place of Championship table.
The Gers boss Mark Warburton is believed that his team needs to sign quality players in January in order to strengthen their squad and spark a run in Championship.
According to the Scottish reports, Rangers are planning to sign Queens Park highly-rated midfielder Massimo Luongo, who has also emerged as a top target for Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka and Leeds United boss Steve Evans.
Luongo has only moved to Loftus Road from Swindon in the summer transfer window, but now he has fallen out of favour since Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink took charge and it has been reported that move to Scottish giants, Rangers could be the best decision for Australian midfielder.
This term Luongo has made only 14 appearances for Championship side where he has failed to find a net and changing atmosphere could help him to return his previous form.
