Scottish Giants, Rangers are on top of championship table five points ahead from their closest rivals Hibernian after 22 round, and they are on the verge to make promotion to Scottish top flight for next 2016/17 campaign.
The one of the main reasons for the Gers success has been their midfield end that thought to be the strongest part of the team and Nicky Law is playing one of the key roles for Mark Warburton’s side.
Law’s current deal with the Ibrox side runs out at the end of the season and former Gers ace Derek Johnstone is believed that the 27-year old midfielder deserves a new deal after his excellent performances in recent games.
“At 27, he is in his prime, and I think he is worth a new deal,” the former Scotland international said.
“It will be difficult for him to start every game because Mark (Warburton) has got a good squad of players there and if more players come in then, there will be tougher competition, and I’m sure Law knows the score on that front.
“But I think he could be included in that group and play his part because he is someone who is capable of changing a game. If he can keep himself in the team between now and the end of the season, he will hope his form will be rewarded with a new contract.”
Mark Warburton is understood to be also keen on to offer his key player a new deal and keep him at Ibrox to push his promotion to Premiership.
